What is Hell?

The Second Death

"The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." (Rev 20:14-15) "The cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." (Rev 21:8)You are ether born twice and die once, or you are born once and die twice. This is speaking of a spiritual birth and death. The second death is being apart from God.

Hell is a Place of Eternal Punishment.

"Sodom and Gomorrah are an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. For whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever." (Jude 1:7 & 1:13)

According to Jesus, Hell is a place of eternal punishment … "Where the fire never goes out." (Mark 9:43)

Hell was not made for us, it was made for the devil and his fallen angels.

"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels." (Matthew 25:41)
