Does God Judge People Differently After Jesus Died ?

“According to your ways and according to your deeds they will judge you,’ Says the Lord GOD.” (Ezekiel 24:14)

We are judged by our actions.

“In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising Him (Jesus) from the dead.” (Acts 17:30-31)

So, people are judged differently now. If you do not have Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you will be judged by the law (Ten Commandments). If you have Jesus as Lord and Savior, you will be covered by the blood of Jesus and will not judged under the law. "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?" (Hebrews 10:26-29)

"For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all." (James 2:10)

If you break the law once, God will find you guilty of breaking His entire law. Sin is breaking of God's law.

So, how are we forgiven of these sins?

Before the sacrifice of Christ, people were judged by the law of God, but they had the blood of animal sacrifices that covered their sins.

After Jesus died for us, animal sacrifices were no longer accepted as payment for sin. Instead, to be right with God, you must repent of your sins and put your trust fully in Jesus Christ alone to save you.

"We have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." (Hebrews 10:10)
